Prussian Diamond Collection
The Prussian Diamond collection is inspired by the delicate lace jewellery of the Prussian royal foundries from 1796 to 1850. Battling the French forces of Napoleon Bonaparte, the Prussian royal family requested that gold jewellery be donated to help the war effort and gave the people iron jewellery in return. After Prussia was defeated, the wrought iron patterns and style made their way across Europe and influenced Victorian jewellery design.
